Greetings and salutations, my curious friends. I am the fabled Syon. I'm one of the writers working on our project, Amare in Bellum. My job is to write a route for one of the girls. In fact, the reason I'm here is so I can introduce the girl whose route I'm writing. So it is my pleasure to introduce to you, the three people reading this blog, Sybil Dastun!
Sybil is a refugee from the country of Rhen-Palait. Her deadpan demeanour and blunt statements distinguish her from the crowd along with her ever-present bandages that cover her head and her nasty smoking habit. She has become infamous among the residents of Marin as a class A moocher; lingering around shops and bothering people for food, refusing to take up any kind of work.
As you can see, we have some concept art (and a comic made by our wonderful artist Kiwi) drawn by WaffleBunny and Kiwi. Enjoy.
This is all we can show you right now, but rest assured, there will be more to present in the future.
Dubs is actually doing something? Surprising.
ReplyDeleteHahaha actually /ksg/ keeps thinking Dubs is our artist. Dubs is not related with our artists or this project at all.
DeleteNoooo that is definitely Dubs. He even used Kiwi as is his alternate nickname in some stream or something.

DeleteDon't you really recognize it or are you just pretending to cover he ripped off from LD?
DeleteDubs ain't affiliated with us. I can't really go into your mind and change that idea but I can guarantee you. Dubs isn't part of our team.
DeleteThis looks like it was copied from LD, which is on KS's coat tails. Nice job there guys.
ReplyDeleteDuring character concepts, we had no idea that Love Despite had a girl with bandages. This is the first I'm hearing of it.
DeleteAny resemblance is unintentional. Head bandages are not limited to Love Despite, and the circumstances between the presence of said wrappings are most likely different. The bandages were given to her due to plot development and planning, not aesthetics.
Thank you for bringing it to our attention, at least.
Not the guy you're replying to, but I find it very hard to believe that an entire EVN development team that started in the KSGs to not have known about Love Despite's characters, considering the infamy surrounding the project as a whole.
Delete>The bandages were given to her due to plot development and planning, not aesthetics.
Irrelevant information, in my honest opinion. It still exists.
Pretty sure theyd say the same thing as you, only first. And KS before them, lol.
ReplyDeleteThe bandages don't actually serve as dressing for a head injury, they're in place to keep her from going all Hidamari-Sketch-wideface. This is part of the plot because Rhen-Palait is using chemical warfare to conquer, and one of their weapons is a gas that makes heads swell until they are to heavy to carry around.
ReplyDeleteThe horrors of this war are full of scenes where cute girls in uniform struggle amid muddy trenches, their heads going wider and wider. Other plot development and planning includes girls whose eyes are larger than normal, and girls who blush constantly; which are not aesthetic choices but necessitated because of plot.
Here is a scene from our new visual novel, Amare in Hidamari.
Delete>Sybil Dastun crawls through mud and arrives at Marin
>Group of girls bullying another girl
>Sybil kills two and for the third she just points at her
"You are already dead"
>As she walks away the girls head inflates and stretches and skews
>"NOOO"
And then she falls over from the weight of her head and dies from blushing too much
/Plot
I actually had in mind that they obtained some kind of psychic powers.
DeleteMaybe we could write the "VN with a Telehandjob".
